September 17, 1926 - December 31, 2017

Dorothy passed away peacefully after a full life raising nine children, doting on twenty-one grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. We are blessed to have enjoyed this past Christmas together with much love and laughter. She was born and raised in Little Paradise, Newfoundland. She moved to Toronto, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage with her late husband Bernard. She was a kind sister to Mary Ward, Martin Ryan (Cecelia), Kay Houlihan (Jim), Blanche Dray (Joe).

Dorothy was a loving mother to Bernita (Peter), Myra (Jeff), Mary (Cam), John (Leslie), Bruce (Jeeling), Liz (Jay), Paul (Eileen), Joanna (Graham) and Monica (Joe). Doting grandma to Bernie, IIeana, Matthew, David, Sean, Amy, Patrick, Liam, Michael, Ginelle (Mike), Nathaniel, Samuel, Dillon, Willy, Melanie, Shaelyn, Jonathan, Chloe and Ryan. Cuddly great grandma to Darius and Creedence. She was pre-deceased by her parents Jack and Elizabeth Ryan, her siblings Anthony, Greg, Peter, and baby sister Marie,
in-laws Jack Ward, Gladys Ryan, Elizabeth Ryan, grandchildren Edan and Jordan, and Ginelle’s mother Lillian.

We wish her love and peace as she is re-united with Bernard.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Tuesday January 9, 2018 from
1-3pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 117 Guestville Ave., Toronto on Wednesday January 10 2018 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
