It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy. Pre-deceased by her devoted husband Herbert. A loving mother to Bruce and David, grandmother to Sean and Celina and her husband Patrick, great grandmother to their children Liam and Cash, and to all her nieces and nephews here and in England.
She was born and raised in Mitcham, England. Growing up in the late 20’s and early 30’s gave her strength of character and helped make her the great lady we all knew and loved. When war broke out she left United Dairies and entered war production, wiring electrical components for Lancaster bombers. She met her Canadian soldier early in the war and finally married him in August 1945. Leaving her own family she left for Canada to start a new life, first in Toronto and then moving to outside Brampton for several years and finally moving into Brampton where she lived for the next 60 years on Clarence street. Thanks to all the great people at Amica where she spent the last year and a half.
She filled our lives with love and gave us a lifetime of great memories. Loved forever. In lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity.
