Beloved daughter of Samuel and Gertrude Hope. Predeceased by brothers Kenneth(Allie), Gerald (Marge), and Donnie (Shirley). Doris was born in Kemptville Ontario, and lived in several Ontario communities as her father was transferred by Bell Telephone. Doris was an amazingly creative person, she sewed many Vogue dresses, and loved fashion and the latest styles. Doris became an accomplished oil painter, after taking lessons from Group of Seven artist Arthur Lismer, in Montreal. She then became accomplished using watercolors.
