Doreen Frances Evans (née McKay) passed away peacefully on November 23, 2021 in Brampton. She was born February 10, 1929 in Toronto to Frank and Florence McKay, and would have been 93 in February coming. She was married to Morley Ronald Evans who pre-deceased her in 1978.

Doreen was a loving mother to Jim Evans (Diane), Marlene Bray (Tom) and Sharon Morrison (Iain), and to her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She devoted her life to her extended family and they all were in her daily thoughts and prayers.

She was remembered by friends and staff at her place of residence, Holland Christian Homes in Brampton, as a caring and considerate person with whom they enjoyed spending time. Doreen appreciated the care she received there by staff and administration, and was grateful for the years that she lived in the complex.

Doreen’s family wish to express their thanks to the medical staff at Brampton Civic Hospital for the professional and compassionate care their Mother received in her final hours.

She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Holland Christian Homes Faith Manor Activities would be welcomed by family. Doreen was active and skilled in crafts, and enjoyed her time in the activities room.
