Donelda (Donnie) Fors, Nee Saunders, the tough and tenacious prairie girl born in Hartney, Manitoba in October of 1927. Full of life and full of adventure, embarked on her final journey the morning of April 28, 2013. So many adventures, so many stories, but none so endearing as the story of our prairie Heroine meeting her handsome young Swede. Her daring sweet Viking known to others as Paul, departed her story far too early it seems. Many chapters the two did create, including the brood and the ones that they love dear, daughter Patricia (Trish) and her love David, son David and his heart’s mate Jane, son Gary and his joy Eileen, son Tim and his love Susan. Their life was full of many joys and great pleasures but most of all the joys were the generations that followed. Sara a daughter for Trish and a doctor to heal, Matthew and Michael strong sons for Tim and Susan, Taylor and Aly young princesses from Gary and Eileen and a later chapter brought them Chance, Allison and Amanda, a strapping young clan from Gary's union with his cherished wife Fiona. Our Heroine lived most of her life in Weston, Ontario until age itself became the ultimate villain. Donnie passed quietly the morning of April 28, and now joins those she loved who passed before, her beloved Swede Paul, her beautiful daughter Trish and her adored daughter by marriage Eileen. She will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered Sunday May 5th with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with service immediately following at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Weston, Ontario. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name be made to The Pat Fors Scholarship at Humber College, a nursing scholarship named for her sadly missed Patricia, whose love and commitment to the nursing profession will continue on.
