Donald Skeffington

Skeffington, Donald – after a lengthy illness on Monday, April 12th, 2010. Don is predeceased by his wife Helen Marie and survived by his sister Eleanore Anne Skeffington of Moncton, New Brunswick, first cousin Carrol Bucci of New Durham, New Hampshire and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick to George Donald Skeffington and Sylvia Edna (nee Wamboldt). He attended Mount Allison University where he received a BSc in Chemistry. While at university he enrolled in the Canadian Army. Later on he received a MSc degree from the University of Bridgeport. He was a member of the Chemical Institute of Canada. His working years were spent in the pharmaceutical industry as Chief Chemist of Rexall Drug Company, Corp.; VP Technical for Webber Pharmaceuticals and subsidiary T/I Parmaceuticals in Irvine, California; Director of Scientific Affairs, Ciba Geigy; and then VP of Scientific Affairs, at Novartis. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Philips Churchyard. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A Book of Memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhome.com
