It is with great sadness and love that the family of Donald (Don) Marshall announces his passing on November 13, 2017 in his 87th year. Born in Toronto, Ontario on February 17, 1931 to the late Robert and Jessie Marshall. Don was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, Jackie of 58 years; his daughter, Katherine (David MacRae); and his son, David (Liz Whetstone). Adoring Papa to Stephanie Marshall and Marshall MacRae. Predeceased by his brother Bruce (Sandra) and brother-in-law
Glenn Aberdein, survived by his sister-in-law Agnes Aberdein and his nephews, Kevin and Sean Marshall.
Don graduated from the University of Toronto with his medical degree in 1956, followed by 2 years of
internship. He started his practice in Brampton in 1958. He always said that he was so fortunate to have a
career that he loved, enjoying every moment of his life's work. The many long term (and new) friendships
made in Brampton, along with being an avid golfer and curler added a great richness to Don's life.
Many thanks to the care givers at Grace Manor, Holland Christian Homes for the care extended to him,
especially during his last week of life. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home
(52 Main St. S., Brampton) on Thursday, November 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will
be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (44 Church St., Brampton) on November 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. As your expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hemochromatosis Society, Alzheimer's
Association of Peel or Peel Memorial Hospital Foundation.
