Donald Arthur Lloyd peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 with his beloved wife, Gladys Lloyd, by his side.
High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung.
High in the sunlit silence, hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting winds along and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor ever eagle flew
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

From Jenny Lloyd:
"My father in law, Don Lloyd was a quiet man, soft spoken and a true gentleman. He never swore, he never drank. As a matter of fact, if we were watching a tv show and someone swore he’d apologize to me.
I met Don Sr. when I was fourteen years old, and his son Don and I started dating. I don’t think his parents were too enamoured with me or us, I guess they thought we were too young.
Well, six years later I married his son, the love of my life. We were married at age twenty and had two sons, Don and Daniel.
His son, my husband, passed away in March 2017 and his death hit myself, my boys and their grandfather deeply.
Dad lost his younger son Tom and then his eldest son Don.
Today I honour this man. His death has rocked me, I no longer have that family connection. My youngest son Daniel has two daughters now, Tara Dawn and Naomi that grandpa has met and enjoyed but unfortunately, they will not grow up knowing this wonderful man.
You are now in Heaven dad with your beloved sons Don and Tom.
May you Rest In Peace Dad."
