Don Lunney

Don Richard Passed away at the age of 80 at his residence after a brief illness, while surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Beverly (Nee) Vivian for 52 years. Cherished father of Laurie Pebesma (Ken), Daryl G. Lunney (Sally). Sadly missed by grandchildren; Evan, Blane, Paige and Dale; Flynn (Marshall), Brodie and Jordie. Don was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Literary Society at Western University since 1954. Inspiring his son and eldest grandson to foster the same rich traditions. An awarded linguist and educator, his career encompassed postings at four major universities. Don dedicated 35 years of service to the Peel Board of Education, completing his career as head of the modern languages department at Mayfield Secondary. Friends will be received at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 44 Church St. East, Brampton from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th 2013. A memorial service and celebration of Don’s life will follow at the church at 2:00 pm. Donations to; Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, or St Andrews Presbyterian Church.
