Domenico Servello, was born on April 21st, 1919 in a small town called Simbario in Catanzaro, Italy. He fought and survived WWII while being a POW for 7 years. Domenico decided to build a life for his family in Canada and move to Sault St. Marie working in the coal mines, as that was the only place he was able to work. After paying his dues he was able to find work in Toronto with CN Rail where he spent the remainder of his career. While Domenico settled in Toronto his wife, Francesca Servello, son, Salvatore, and daughter, Mariangela, moved to Canada to join him in 1958. Domenico and his wife welcomed their youngest daughter, Rosaria, in 1959 . He leaves behind his loving wife, 3 beautiful children, 9 grand children and 15 great-grand children who all love him dearly.
