Domenico Pacitti

February 8, 1944 - March 14, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our sweet Domenico, surrounded by his loving family. Adored husband of 60 years to Marisa, beloved father to Florinda, Luigi and Carmina (Eliot), devoted grandfather to Marisa, Alexander, Ava and James, loving brother to his sister Anna, and brother Edoardo. He is reunited in heaven with his parents Luigi and Florinda and his brother Ferdinando.

Domenico held many titles, from outdoorsman to entrepreneur, but his greatest role was that of a family man.  Not even his passion for horses, hunting and hiking could come close to the endless love he had for his wife and children, and especially his cherished grandchildren, the loves of his life. He taught his family invaluable life lessons and fretted over their well being. 

A young man from Abruzzo, Italy, Domenico immigrated to Toronto in 1965 with big dreams and a determination for success. Working alongside his wife, they built a successful business, and provided his family with the opportunities his humble beginnings could not offer. 

Domenico was a passionate conservationist, skilled hunter, adventurer and hiker. He spent all of his free time in nature, often with his best friend, his son. When his grandsons were able to walk, he showed them the joy and happiness that could be found outdoors.

He was presented with various health challenges the last few months, but he never lost his enthusiasm and grit to fight the good fight. He may have lost this last battle, but he is forever victorious in our hearts. His life and legacy will live on through his proud family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association of Canada, whose support Domenico benefitted from in the past.

 Family and friends will be received  at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Sunday, March 17th, from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-9pm.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 18th, 2024 at 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Church (8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge), followed by entombment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga)
