Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday September 29, 2024 at the age of 94. Dear husband of the late Elvira. Proud father of Silvana (Mario), Salvatore (Cathy), Joseph (the late Donna) and the late Juliano. Cherished Nonno of Lisa (Fabrizio), Robbie (Jennifer), Nicole (Mark), Natalie (Steve), Julia (Anthony), Michael, Daniel (Giulia), Melissa and Robert. Loving Bis-Nonno of Andrea, Sofia, Aria, Isabella, Camilla and Daniel. Dino will be sadly missed by his dear sister Giovanna and his many family and friends.

Born in Pachino, Sicily, Italy to parents Salvatore and Carmela. Dino was raised during this very difficult time. He spent time in the Italian Army. He began learning his trade as a hairdresser in Italy.

In 1953, Dino migrated to Canada through Pier 21 at Halifax’s harbor. Then making his way inland. He endured the challenges of learning a new language while perfecting his trade skills.

Dino enjoyed spending time with his family. He treasured his time at the cottage. In his younger years he would enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (Just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Thursday from 2-7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. till service time at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill.
