Diana (Diane) Murphy (nee Davis)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Murphy on September 3, 2012 at the age of 79. Born in Cardiff, Wales, Diane was the loving wife of over 50 years to Robert J. Murphy, mother of Wanda (Bill), Wayne (Alison), Wendy (Carolyn), Nana to Andrew, Grant, Owen and Tristan, and friend to all.

Diane spent many years volunteering her time and passion to numerous garden societies. She was recently recognized with a 20 year Ontario Volunteer Service Award for her many years as President and newsletter writer of the Chinguacousy Garden Club. Diane was also a long-time member of the Ontario Hosta Society and the Ontario Rock Garden Society. She was active in her church and UCW group, and involved in several clubs such as her Memoirs group. She will be greatly missed by both friends and family.

A celebration of Diane’s life is to be held at St. Bartholomew’s United Church at 22 Abbey Road, Brampton, ON L6W 2T8 on Sept 15, 2012 at 11:00am with reception to follow.
