Delford "Del" Nadon

Delford (Del) Nadon passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, March 28 at Hastings Centennial Manor in Bancroft at the age of 92. He was a devoted husband of Jeanne Nadon (predeceased) and loving father to Carrie, Dean (Beth), Cay and Darryl. Cherished grandfather to Jay (Kensley), Natasha (Jay)and Skye,Kylie, and great grandfather to Bodhi and Eliya. Dear brother to Delgracia (predeceased).

Born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Del met his future wife, Jeanne, in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay). They moved to Kapuskasing, where they began raising their four children, and then to Brampton in 1965. Both Del and Jeanne were devout Catholics and long-time members of St. Mary’s Church and the choir. Del is known for his love of family,hockey, music, dance and food, especially the sweets.

Del was lovingly cared for by the exceptional staff at Hastings Centennial Manor Long Term Care in Bancroft. A special fund has been set up by the Nadon Family to benefit the dementia wing. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations in memory of Delford Nadon may be made to

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church followed by interment at Meadowvale Cemetery. Effective March 15th, 2021, as per the mandate of the Bereavement Authority to safely manage and adhere to social distancing requirements, please RSVP for the service if you are planning to attend.

Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.
