David Wayne Teves, 48 passed away peacefully on Friday January 3rd, 2020, surrounded by the family he loved and laughed with.
David born in Grand Forks, British Columbia on April 12, 1971 was the son of John and Natalia Teves. He was the youngest of three children, survived now by his loving mother Natalia, sisters Olivia and Lucia, his nieces and nephews Sabrina, David, Megan, Ryan, Jenny and longtime partner and best friend Eva.
David lived his life as he wanted. He often shared childhood stories growing up in Christina Lake, British Columbia where he was a talented Junior A hockey player and motocross racer.
The family moved to Toronto in 1984.
Just out of high school, David began an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker at Apex Woodworking. Through hard work and natural talent he moved his way up to Machine Shop foreman. Always striving for more- he began taking on side jobs, renovating houses, designing and building kitchen cabinets and furniture. Soon his passion for fabricating turned to the intricacies of maintaining and rebuilding the woodworking machines that he used for so many years. He worked until recently as a woodworking machine technician.
David loved cats especially his favourite bud of all Walden- a.k.a. Robert Plant. He also loved hockey, music, racing go- carts, motocross bikes, fishing, and of course, the Buffalo Bills.
