David passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus with his wife and daughters by his side at Brampton Civic Hospital on November 24, 2010. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Townes) and treasured father of Marta Elisabeth and Jenna Victoria. Loving son of the late Ruby (nee Neal) and Nelson of Campbell’s Cross, brother of Betty Jones (Charlie) and Grant (Joane). Family and friends will miss this kind and talented man who lived an extraordinary life into his 67th year. In his career as an educator and in retirement, David shared his passions for life long learning, the arts and world travel. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday, November 28 from 2–4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29 at 1pm from North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Blvd., Brampton. Interment Dixon’s Union Cemetery.
