Dave Simmons

With profound sadness, we share the passing of David (Dave) Simmons on December 11, 2024. Dave was the devoted husband of his beloved wife, Heather, a loving father, stepfather and father-in-law to Ilicia and Mack, Josh, Eric and Katie, Michelle and Jonathan, and Michael and Michelle. He was the cherished Zaidie of Sadie, Avery, Jayden, Jesse, Zoe, Erin, Ben, Emma, Evan, Ariel, Carly, Demi and Evelyn.

Dave will be remembered for his devotion to Heather and his family, his love for boating and the dogs that have been part of the family over the years including Cooper, his sharp sense of humour, and the courage he showed in his long battle with several illnesses including diabetes.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Yifan Li and her palliative care team, as well as the Dialysis Unit team, at Mackenzie Health – Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Memorial donations to the Mackenzie Health Hospital would be appreciated.

The immediate family will be holding a private funeral service.
