Born September 13, 1957 to John and Rita Squires in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Darrell Squires passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on January 2, 2024.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother (Rita Squires), brothers (Eric and Dennis Squires), wife (Jeanette Squires), and daughter (Jadee). Darrell was predeceased by his father (John Squires) and two brothers (Allister and Randy Squires).
Leaving to mourn with precious memories, a large number of relatives, friends and coworkers.
Darrell was born and raised in Newfoundland but spent most of his life on the mainland. He loved to play hockey in his younger years and always had fun playing the guitar with this family and friends. After travelling to various parts of North America and developing lifelong friendships, Darrell settled in Ontario where he met Jeanette and Jadee.
He had a love and appreciation for cars, motorcycles, and guitars. While he enjoyed spending his free time watching Jeopardy and Coronation Street, his true love and passion was his wife and daughter whom he adored. He was a man who acted out of service to his family and spent his days showing love to his family and ensuring they were cared for.
Cremation has taken place, and friends and family are invited to celebrate Darrell’s life at a service to be held at St. Phillips Anglican Church in Newfoundland on January 27, 2024 at 2PM.
