Rhijnsburger, Corstiaan “Cor”
After a lengthy illness our Lord took Home Cor Rhijnsburger, Saturday, August 14, 2010, born in Sassenheim, the Netherlands. He started working at an early age in his family’s bakery. After the war in 1951, Cor immigrated to Canada and worked as a labourer in the Works’ Department at the Township of Etobicoke. He progressed into various roles including management and retired in 1991. Cor was a committed husband and father and was active in his church and community. His passing is mourned by his wife of 55 years, Lina “Lynn”, nee Kuntz and his children John (Cynthia), Marty (Van), Gary, Linda (Andy), Jacqueline (Michael) and Cory. He will be missed by his grandchildren Tony, Brooke, Eric, Dane, Hailey, Colin, Simon, Dana, Ben and Erika. We thank with deep gratitude the great care and dedication shown by the many caregivers at Holland Christian Homes and Grace Manor as well as the commitment and love shown by many friends and visitors. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Wednesday, August 18 from 7-9 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at Heritage Hall, Holland Christian Homes, 7900 McLaughlin Road South, Brampton, on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lighthouse or Lifewater Canada would be appreciated.
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His Holy name!
