Concetta Staniscia

Concetta Staniscia passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at Humber River Regional Hospital on May 14, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 19, 1926 in Lanciano, Province of Chieti, ITALY. She was the loving wife of the late Donato Staniscia whom she adored immensely. Concetta will be fondly remembered by her daughters Carmella, Josie and Linda Staniscia, and her daughter Mary Greco and her husband John. She will be reunited in heaven with her son Joseph, however leaving behind her grandchildren: Lisa, Joanne, Gianpaolo and Daniel and their spouses Joseph, Cristina and Laura. Nonna Concetta will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren: John Jr., Juliana, David, AnnaMaria and Sophia. Concetta will also leave behind many other family and friends who she has touched along the way. She was a strong woman who thought of her family first, always working so hard to satisfy everyone else. She was a simple woman, who loved to be around friends and family. Concetta was the rock that kept it all together. She was known for her sense of sternness and humor. Her delicious cooking and baking and great times at the cottage will be sadly missed. Concetta loved to celebrate all that this world had to offer and we will continue to honour how great her legacy really meant to us all. We love you more than words can ever describe. Rest in forever peace.
