Claris Winnifred (Precious) Marks

April 29, 1959 – January 21, 2022

Claris “Precious” Marks passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on January 21, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario. She is survived by her beloved father Ezra Marks; her loving adopted daughter Jacqueline Williams; sisters Neron Brissett (Charmaine) and Ann Jean Marks-Allen; and brother Norman Marks; nephew Randre Allen and niece Norika Marks; Brother-in-law Ransford Allen.

Precious also leaves Aunts Evelyn Marks, Eileen Marks, Uncles Weston Marks and Author Tomlinson, countless cousins, and friends. She will be dearly missed by her Downsview Seventh Day Adventist (DSDA) church family where she was a faithful member for twenty-six years in Toronto, Canada.

Precious, a devoted woman of God and Personal Support Worker committed her life to caring for those in need. She worked for thirty-four years at Vita Community Living as a Personal Support Worker. She served in DSDA as Head Deaconess, Greeter, Chorister, and a member of the Catering team.

In honoring her life and commitment to serving others, please consider making monetary donations in lieu of giving flowers.

The family would like to thank all her beloved church members that visited, sent cards, gifts, and flowers during her time of illness. The community of cousins, church sisters and friends that teamed up to ensure that Precious had around the clock care. The many Personal Support workers that assisted, nurses and doctors that made her time at home comfortable.
