Christine Ann Ienco

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Christine (“Chris”) Ann Ienco, who left us unexpectedly on April 9th, 2025, at the age of 60, in Toronto, Ontario.

Beloved mother to Sarah (Brian), Michelle (Kevin), Samantha (Michael) and cherished grandmother of Oliver. Chris will be fondly remembered by her siblings, John Peat (Terry), Linda Regan (Patrick), and nephew, Dana Regan. Chris is predeceased by her parents, William Peat and Annie Dobbie (Potter) Peat, whom she held very close in her heart.

Chris faced many hardships and struggles throughout her life but never let her situation define her.

When it came to helping others, Chris was your person, whether that meant offering a listening ear, a place to stay or quite literally, the shirt off of her back. Chris was a lifelong lover of animals, mainly cats, to this day we can’t keep count of how many stray cats she’s taken in! She enjoyed reading, writing and going on walks. She had a sweet tooth and never turned down a slice of cheesecake regardless of the flavour.

Chris was kind-hearted, resilient and her love, laughter, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
