Christina Elizabeth Roesel
November 13, 1936 – March 2, 2021

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Christina on March 2, 2021, with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Loving wife of 63 years to William. Loving mother to William (Julie), Edward (Terry), David (Anna) and Anne. Grandmother to Kimberly (Anson), Cheryl (Rob), Jennifer (Josh), Shaun, Sara and Daniel. Great-grandmother to Ava, Brayden and Charli. Chris was very active in the community volunteering countless hours at the Baker Centre, Amesbury Seniors Club, Rustic Bowling League as well as other organizations. The family wishes to thank the healthcare workers who cared for her over the past few years. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A private family service is being held on March 11,2021 at Ward Funeral Home –Woodbridge at 11:00am.

In accordance with the February 22, 2021 directives from the Municipality of York Region, Services can be held within the funeral home, accommodating no more individuals than 30% occupancy of our visitation rooms and/or Chapel.

Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions the service and interment will be private. The service will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11 am. Although private, the family has provided the opportunity to view the livestream of the service from the comfort of your own home.
