Croucher, Christopher Charles
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 2, 2019 at The Dorothy Ley Hospice.
Chris was an exceptional husband, father and friend. He was warm and engaging with everyone he met and in Chris’s world the glass was always half full, if not overflowing. His rose coloured glasses inspired many to see life more positively and to be and do their best.
Chris had many loves in addition in his family. He loved his cottage on Six Mile Lake where he spent many sunny days and star-filled nights with his family and his Lake friends. Chris loved spending time at his home in Barbados with Laura where they could watch the sunsets over the ocean, visit their local haunts, and entertain family and friends. During his many year associations with Scouts Canada he developed lifelong friendships while he inspired and helped many young boys to become young men and reach their full potential. Chris loved curling and golf at the Weston Golf and Country Club, spending many hours on the rink and the course, as well as serving 12 years on the Board of Directors, two as President. His contributions to WGCC are vast and his Club friends were some of his closest. Chris loved his job and was a respected leader in his industry.
Quite simply, Chris loved life – he has left the world a better place then he found it. His passing is a huge loss not only to his family and friends, but also his colleagues and community.
Chris is survived by his wife Laura, son Ryan (Catherine), daughter Erin (Mark) and his grandchildren Angelina, Alexia and Jacob.
In lieu of flowers donations in honour of Chris to The Dorothy Ley Hospice, Scouts Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
