It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Chris Chacalos. Surrounded by his loved ones, Chris passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023 at the age of 81. Chris was born to Tom and Christine in Melas, Greece on March 10, 1942.
Beloved husband of Vana for many years. Devoted father to Mary, Tom, John (Antonietta), and Steven (Elizabeth). Adoring grandfather to Sarah, Sabastian and Alexander. Dear brother to Jim (Sula) and Vessie (Chris, predeceased). He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family.
Chris was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to his trees, grass and flowers. He will be fondly remembered as a fun loving, gregarious man, who enjoyed dancing. He loved to talk to his friends and family and was always eager to help when he could.
Chris was very proud of his accomplishments. He immigrated to Canada in search of a brighter future for himself and continued to grow and support his family. An avid restaurateur and entrepreneur, he never shied away from his responsibilities. He was very generous with those around him. Chris was very committed to his grandchildren and loved to spend as much time with them as he could.
Our grief over losing him is infinite, and our loving memory of him will always remain in our hearts.
