Charlotte Douglas (Buckler) Ferguson
July 19, 1927 - March 8, 2022
Charlotte passed away peacefully in her 95th year surrounded by her 5 children.
She leaves us to embark on her final adventure in rejoining with her late husband
Gordon T. A. Ferguson, who passed away on the same date 11 years ago. As they
were joined in marriage, so they will be reunited together for all eternity.
Charlotte regularly used to say, "I have lived a charmed life." Just one of her many
blessings was her large family, who she leaves to carry on her lit torch through her
children: Rob & (Reisha d. Dec. 28, 2021) Ferguson; Ardith (Jerry) Dyche; Joan
Ferguson (Barb Hauri-Nixon); Tom Ferguson; Elaine Kent (Dave ).
Her grandchildren; Shawn (Jane), Ryan (Alex), Stacy, Fergusons; Edward (Cait),
Carolyn Dyches; Sarah (Nathan) Dorey; Elizabeth & Fraser Aston.
Her great grandchildren James, Iain; Connor, Alice; and Ben.
Sister to Lester Buckler and aunt to his family and her extended family; the Fynn's.
Through her long life she enjoyed travel to more than 70 countries, and often invited
family members along to see the world through her eyes. One of her favorite quotes
was from Mark Twain, "Travel is Fatal to Prejudice" She was a liberal thinker, with an
East Coast sense of wit and humour, which was always delivered in good fun.
Charlotte was always generous of heart, willing to help those in need whether it was
family, neighbors or giving of her time to charitable causes, which was a testament to
her loving character. An ardent reader who enjoyed a rousing conversation to keep her
mind sharp even until her last days.
We will cherish her memory and treasure the time we had together. Her parting words
to us were smile, have fun and don't mourn for me. Hugs and kisses, may God be with
you as we lay you to Rest in Peace, until we meet again
