Passed away suddenly on March 8, 2018 at 86 years of age. Proud father of Chuck (Denise), Ann (Mark Devane), Anita (Jerry Layte), Sandra (Eugene DiMonte) and Derrick (Tatiana). Loving Nanu to Davis (Kim), Lauren, Leslie, Dylan (Andrea), Shane, Rachel, Gabriella, Julia, Angello, Shelby and Jacob. Great Nanu to Kendall and Hailey. He will also be sadly missed by Isabella, his brothers (Larry, Tony & Wayne), his sisters (Guza, Marie & Christine) and his many nieces and nephews.
We were blessed to have this wonderful man in our lives. He greeted everyone with a warm smile and a kind word.
He evolved from humble beginnings. He founded and operated a successful plumbing business - Charlie’s Plumbing in Oakville, Ontario. He was the guy you went to if you ever needed anything - whether it was moving a chest of drawers, digging a ditch, jumping a stalled car, he was your guy. Always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile on his face. Always a good neighbour.
After retiring, Charlie moved to Vineland, Ontario where he indulged his many passions. Charlie was an avid sportsman and loved spending time at his farm hunting and fishing. He loved gardening and feeding the birds and small creatures in his backyard. He enjoyed his trips to the casino and loved playing many games of cards with family and his friends at the Beamsville and Grimsby senior centres. He enjoyed good food, good jokes, good company and he loved his cookies! He loved many things but it was evident through the documented photos of his life that he loved his family most of all.
A celebration of his life has already been held. A memorial page is available through Ward Funeral Home of Oakville if you would like to share a memory or send condolences, at
