Charles Schembri

SCHEMBRI, CHARLES - Peacefully at Brampton Civic hospital, on October 11, 2017 in his 87th year. Survived by wife, Riccarda, who he was happily married to for 61 years. Loved and proud of his son and two daughters, Frank (Noreen), Maryann (predeceased by Bob), and Sharon (Peter) and his 2 grandchildren: Melanie (Luke), Derek (Stephanie). Proud great grandfather of Theodore. Charles immigrated to Canada from Malta In 1949. In 1956, Riccarda, his soon to be wife, also immigrated from Malta to settle with him in Brampton, Ontario. He worked at American Motors (Chrysler) for 26 years and enjoyed retirement among his family and friends. Always known for his smile, sense of humour and storytelling, Charles will be missed by all who knew him. An avid gardener, checkers player, and family man - Charles was loved by all.
