Finally reunited with the love of his life, Rosina, Cesare passed away peacefully with his loving family surrounding him.

Loving husband to Rosina Girimonte for over 63 years. Caring father to Antonietta (Alberto) and Carmine (Debbie). Devoted Nonno to Fiorina (Matthew), Stefanie, John-Michael and Cassandra (Samuel). And proud Bisnonno to Liam.

Cesare came to Canada from Santo Stefano di Rogliano, Calabria in 1956 and married his one true love in 1959. After arriving in Canada, Cesare sponsored the rest of his siblings and his mother to come join him and his family. Cesare worked as a brick layer and contributed to most of Toronto’s infrastructure and skyline.

Cesare was always MacGyvering something or other. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. Always joking around or playing practical jokes, Cesare loved to make his family laugh. Cesare was very well known for always perfecting his wine and proud of the outcome. Cesare had a true green thumb and every year you could see it in his garden.
