Catherine Stieb

Cathy died surrounded by family on October 30, 2017. She was predeceased by Ernie, her loving husband of 60 years. Cathy will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by sisters Carol and Lou, children Sue (Steve) and Dave (Jane), and grandchildren Dianne (Chris), Katie, David, Mark and Joe. Cathy was born on September 11, 1928 to Caroline and Philip Spee. She married her childhood sweetheart Ernie in 1954, and led an accomplished career as a surgical nurse for many years. Cathy was a warm, genuine, and fun-loving person, who enjoyed gardening, travelling, music and theatre. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who loved life, above all spending time with family and friends. The family thanks the staff at Churchill Place for their support, and extends their gratitude to Dorothy Ley Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness given to Cathy during her stay.
