Catherine McBurney

After a lengthy battle with Huntington’s Disease, Catherine (“Cathy”) McBurney passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre her home for the past 2½ years. She will be deeply missed by her loving partner in life, Kevin Pletch, their son, Shaun, as well as her many family members and friends. Cathy is resting at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 10th, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A service for the celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of the Ward Funeral Home on Friday, March 11th, 2016 at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, especially the Nurses and PSWs of the 2nd floor for their loving care and support during her time there. Should you choose, in lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory can be made to any of the following: The Hospital for Sick Children, The Huntington Society of Canada or Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre.
