Catherine Leitch

LEITCH, Catherine Anne
October 9, 1951 - March 8, 2018

Catherine passed away peacefully at the Bickle Centre in Toronto on March 8, 2018 at the age of 66 years. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Linda, and her brother Jim (Mary Gail) of Lethbridge, Alberta and a niece, Mary-Ann (Brandon) and two nephews, Matt (Tannis) and Mark, and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Jean Leitch of Toronto, in 2008.

Catherine worked with the Spina Bifida Association for several years and then was employed by the City of Toronto for many years until her health declined. She loved to travel and seek new adventures. Mexico was a favourite destination for its sunshine and warmth. One of her last exploits was an African Lion Safari in South Africa. Catherine was an avid animal lover. She took pleasure in her own cats and looked forward to visits with the various dogs in her neighbourhood.

Catherine's health failed significantly over the last few years, due to complications of the spina bifida condition which she was born with. This limited her activities and reduced her quality of life. Catherine enjoyed her family and a good rousing conversation. She pursued life with determination and courage and will be missed.
