Carol Ketelaar

Carol Betty Ketelaar (nee Mason) – August 3, 1944 - March 9, 2018

Carol was born in Toronto but later moved and lived many years in the United States. She, together with her husband, raised a family and later made her home in Brampton, Ontario. She enjoyed to colour, paint, do crafts, play bingo, yahtzee and loved visits with her children and grandchildren. She had a marvelous sense of humor and was the kindest, most caring and giving person you could ever hope to meet. Her children’s friends always called her Mom as she was incredibly warm, inviting and cared for all human kind. She loved her cat Missy as she had always loved.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Albert Meldrum Mason and her mother Yvonne “Gladys” June Louise McCullough Mason Baker of Ontario and her son, Jacob Allen Ketelaar of Missouri.

She is survived by her Husband Jacob Ketelaar of Illinois, Sister Frances Barnes (Vince) of Ontario and Daughter Teresa Ketelaar-MacAulay of Pennsylvania. She was a much beloved grandmother to Jacob (Sarah) Ketelaar of Iowa, Kayla McQueen (Ryan) of Missouri , Jeron Ketelaar of Pennsylvania, Tyler MacAulay of Florida, Alex (Carye) Leighton of Nova Scotia, Connor Carmen of Illinois and step grandchildren, Britt MacAulay of Pennsylvania and Ariel MacAulay of Florida. She was also a Great-Grandmother to Alyssa and Catherine Leighton and had many nieces and nephews including Vince (Lucy) Barnes, Laura (Peter) Schmidt, Kristina Ketelaar, Stephen Ketelaar, Hendrik Ketelaar, Richard (Joanne) Munding, Michael Gresko, Cory Richardson, Kurt Richardson and many other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by those that knew and love her.
