It is with profound grief and sadness that the family of Carol Emyln Rambert (nee Black) shares the news of her passing at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in the presence of her husband on Tuesday August 22, 2017, at the age of 71 years.
Carol leaves to mourn, her husband Peter, along with her only surviving sibling Earl Black, sister in-law Sybil Barnaby, and her aunt Dr. Jean Mollineaux in Springfield Maryland. Also left to mourn her passing are her brothers in-law, Dr. Julian Rambert, and Patrick Rambert, their spouses Sophie, and Cheryl, her sisters in law, Anita Rambert-Campbell, Vicki Rambert-Perot, and Vilma Rambert-Wooding, and 29 nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Carol’s entire life was one of service, to her Lord and God, her spouse, her family , and her friends. She served as an Admin-Assistant at the Royal Bank of Canada Head Office for 35 years. Upon her retirement, Carol devoted much of her time to serving in the Ministry of the Sick in St. Michael’s Parish. She also coordinated the Parish Prayer Network for 5 years. At the core of her Parish service however, was her unfailing love of and deep commitment to “Music Ministry”.
A Celebration of Carol’s life of service will take place at a Funeral Mass, on Monday September 4, 2017, at 11:00 am , at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville, followed by Cremation at Assumption Roman Catholic Crematorium, Mississauga.
The Rambert and Black families would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Catherine Birt, and Dr. Hall Chew, Ophthalmology Department at Sunnybrook Hospital. We also thank Dr. Rita Kaloni, Lakeshore Medical Clinic, Drs. Michelle and Jerimie Pakin, and the staff at the Heart Function Clinic, Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, for the compassionate care which Carol received in the final months of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the families request that donations be made in Carol’s name to the Glaucoma Research Foundation at Sunnybrook Hospital.
