Carmel Brydges

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother on September 11, 2013, with family by her side, at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, Ontario. She will be deeply missed by Jack, her husband of 48 years, her daughters Judy Brydges (John Delanty) and Sue Brydges, and her cherished granddaughters Madeleine, Sarah and Eve Delanty. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on July 16, 1935, she is survived by her sisters and brother, Louise Coffin, Patricia Keough, Pauline McDonald, Cheryl Bildstein, and Bill. She is predeceased by her parents, Margaret (Hines) and Michael Cusack, her brothers, Jack, George, Gerald, and Frank, and sister, Eileen Landry. Also left to mourn is her extended family from the Ottawa Valley. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Ian Anderson House for the wonderful care provided in Carmel’s final days. Friends may call at Ward Funeral Home – Oakville Chapel, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Tuesday, September 17 from 7-9 p.m. Interment at the family gravesite in Almonte, ON.
