Pitman, Cara-Lyn (nee McCoy)
March 22, 1963 - June 29, 2010
A light has gone out of our lives with the passing of Cara-Lyn Pitman (McCoy), beloved wife of Phil Pitman, loving mother of Megan and Mackenzie. Her children were her greatest joy. Heroic daughter of Linda McCoy and predeceased by her father Wayne. Much loved sister of David (Sandi), Darren (Ricci), and Erin. Revered Daughter-in-law of Ernest and Gladys Pitman. Loved Sister-in-law of Lori Masson and Michael Pitman. Doting Aunt of Kristen, Sarah, Rachel, Trevor, Kendal, McKenna, Mitchell, Cassidy, and Tess. Cara-Lyn always had a keen interest in all the children's lives. She made each and every one of them feel special.
Some of Cara-Lyn's passions were her love of horses and riding, her affection for all animals, especially her dogs, and reading. Cara-Lyn was known for her beautiful gardens, which always appeared to be in full bloom. Growing up cottaging in Muskoka where she forged life-long friendships, Cara-Lyn met and married Phil, her cottage sweetheart. Together they created a lifetime of memories. But it was her passion for life, her courage and quiet determination that touched so many people. Not a day will go by that she will not be missed.
Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street S., Brampton on Monday July 5th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Ward Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday July 6th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at Rotary Glen Banquet Hall, 1857 Queen Street W., Brampton.
