Calvin Carey

CAREY, Calvin John - (Formerly of Toronto, Retired Veteran WWII and Metropolitan Toronto Police Force) Born December 29, 1923, passed away on January 5, 2010 after a brief illness in Bobcaygeon. Predeceased by his beloved wife Nell (2008). Cherished father of Colin, Robin (Ellen) and Colleen (Mike) Mente. Much loved Grandpa of Tabatha, Gregory, Melissa, Matthew, Mitchell and Maddie. Dear brother of Kay Spyker of Saskatoon and Anna Fay of Moose Jaw. Calvin will be forever loved by his brothers and sisters-in- law and numerous nephews and nieces. A heartfelt thank you to his caregivers at Case Manor, Bobcaygeon and Applewood Retirement Residence, Peterborough for their compassion and care of our Dad. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Saturday from 2-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Cremation and interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
