Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday January 4, 2023, at the age of 83. Devoted wife of the late Ignazio. Proud and loving mother of Rose (Joe), the late Maria Antonietta, Sally (Nick), Nora (Dave-predeceased) and Luigina. Cherished Nonna of Marco, Angela, Ilario, Monica, Michael and Sophia. Great grandmother to many great grandchildren. Calogera will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Fondly remembered by how much she was loved by family and friends, a hard-working classy woman. She was admired both by staff and residents at Pine Grove nursing home, often referred to as the boss of the home.

Calogera was a woman of faith and her faith, and her family gave her the strength needed to overcome so many of life’s obstacles.

Family was important to Calogera, she enjoyed baking for them. No one made Sicilian cuddureddi like she did.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Monday January 9, 2023, from 10 a.m. Funeral service to follow at 12 noon. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
