Bruno Benedet

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, Bruno Benedet on January 31, 2025, in his 95th year. Bruno was born in Fiume Veneto, Italy on April 12, 1929, to Giuseppe and Anna.

Bruno is now reunited with the love of his life, and his best friend Deianira, with whom he spent 62 wonderful years. Together they had two sons who will miss him dearly, Loris and daughter in-law Genny and Mario. He was a devoted nonno to Melissa, Mathew, Sandra, Christina, Charlene, Kirk and Bradley. Doting bisnonno to Sebastian, Julian, Dante, Isabella, Ben and Grace. He will be sorely missed by his siblings Luigi and Liliana, Marissa (sister in-law) and Angelo (brother in-law) Fabris, and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. 

Bruno will be remembered for his cheerful, happy-go-lucky and calm demeanor. He enjoyed spending his free time in his garden and making wine to share with family and friends. He took pride in accomplishing tasks around the house and using his skills as a handyman.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at St. Judes Cemetery in Oakville.

 Memorial donations may be made in Bruno’s name to the Humber River Health Foundation.
