Bruce McHaffie

McHaffie - It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Alvin McHaffie on Sunday, August 23rd at the age 57. Bruce was the dearly beloved husband of Carol (nee Hannah) for almost 34 years and was adored by his only daughter Alyse and her fiancé Torrance Dodge. Bruce was the son of the late Lillie and Claire McHaffie. He is survived by his brothers David, Rod (Laurie) and sister Cheryl Whitehead (Harry). Bruce was cherished by his mother-in-law, Edith Hannah, and his brothers-in-law Gary Hannah (Morgan) and Doug Hannah. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Sean, Malorie, Ryan, Mara, Daniel, Venessa, Mathew and Brittany and his great nieces Hannah, Elizabeth, Eva, Sophie, and Morgan. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Bruce was proud to be a firefighter with the Brampton Fire Dept. for 25 years and owned ABC Fire Co. His great loves were riding his Harley, spending time at the cottage, and exploring the countryside with his toy hauler. Bruce passed away peacefully at Georgetown hospital, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with ALS

Visitation is at the Ward Funeral Home, Brampton on Thurs. Aug. 27th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, and Fri. Aug. 28th from 2 pm to 5 pm with the funeral service on Saturday Aug. 29th at North Bramalea United Church at 11 am.
