Betty Wilson

Betty Smart Wilson (nee Bremner) has been reunited with her husband Jack on February 28th, 2021 at the age of 83. She will be sadly missed by: Andrew and Lucille, John, Phyllis, Grandchildren Nicholas and Sophia, distant family and long time friends from York University.

Betty had many interests in the sciences (geology and weather), music (from opera to pop) and knitting items for family and women’s causes.

She kept up with the latest technology. Betty had a charity nature that included donations to medical research and homeless youth shelters.

In her later years, Betty reached out to connect to friends and relatives overseas as much as she could.

Contact with friends from York University kept her in good spirits and added a lot to her life.

The family would like to thank the dedicated social workers, nurses and doctors at Humber River Hospital and Baycrest Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Convent House, CAMH, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

Cremation will be taking place, respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions the interment will be private. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to provide your condolences to the family through her memorial page.
