Betty Seckington

SECKINGTON, Betty Beryl (nee Blower) born October 8, 1926. Passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, December 26, 2010, close to her husband and three daughters.

Loving wife of Lloyd Albert Seckington for sixty-three glorious years. Much loved and sadly missed by her three daughters: Catherine (Cathy) Traicus, Ruth Malecki (Rick), Patricia (Patti) Bunston (Doug). Beloved “Nana Dear” to her ten grandchildren: Carla Malecki (Richard Barton), Jamie Malecki, Catherine Vallieres (Jon), Anthony Malecki, Carolyn Kormendi (Alex), Rob Bunston (Amber), Laura Bunston (Rob), Victor Traicus (Diana), Steve Bunston (Amanda), Tom Bunston and five great-grandchildren: Sofia Vallieres, Benjamin Vallieres, Grace Kormendi, Nathan Barton and Oliver Vallieres.

Loving sister to Aileen Longmore, Dorothy Jermey and sister-in-law, Mary Seckington. Predeceased by her parents: Catherine Mearns Blower (nee Stephen) and Charles Arthur Blower, and her youngest sister, Kathleen (Kay) Frances McCreary (Carm), as well as several sisters and brothers by marriage. Missed by extended family and friends.

Sincere thanks to so many for assistance over the years, including Jennifer & Tony D’Angelo, David & Linda Jermey, Pam & Jim Seckington, Joanne Pickard, and the wonderful staff at Etobicoke Services for Seniors. Much appreciation from our family.

Visitation to be held at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 6-9pm. Memorial Service to be held at Humbervale Place, 1447 Royal York Road, Toronto, on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2-4pm. Cremation will take place before services.

Donations to Etobicoke Services for Seniors, Canadian Cancer Society, or Autism Ontario in lieu of flowers would be much appreciated.
