January 21, 1922 – April 24, 2016
With heavy hearts and profound sadness the family of Bernice Bachman announce her passing which was peaceful, but not without a fight, at Etobicoke General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Bernice was born in Dauphin, Manitoba. Predeceased by former husband Garry, brothers Mike, Bill, Steve and niece Peggy. She will be missed by her loving daughter Karen (Del), granddaughters Kymberley (Jeff), Michelle (Michael), great grandchildren Kristina (Tristan), Caitlin (Dan), Lehna, Curtis, great great grandsons Damian and Witt. Loving aunt to Debbie, Jennifer and Randy. Spanning 9 decades and 5 generations of family ‘Little Nanny’ was an avid cook, baker, knitter, quilter, gardener and recreational gambler. Not leaving us with millions of dollars but millions of lasting memories and advice. Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A graveside service will take place at Beechwood Cemetery on Thursday at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
