Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday July 9, 2021 at the age of 82. Devoted husband of Rosina of 61 wonderful years. Proud father of Antoniette (late Jeremy), Paul (Veronica) and Joseph (Nancy). Cherished Grandpa of Anthony, Kathleen, Sophia and Julian. Ben will be sadly missed by his siblings Emma, Cellino(Lina) and Quinzio. He will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends. Benvenuto has been reunited by his parents Carmine and Antonietta, his sister Maria and brother in law Pasquale and his dear son in law Jeremy his in laws Francesco and Angela who where like his own parents . Gas fitter by trade, family man by choice and nature enthusiast. His love of horses groomed his career working with race horses at Hopefield Farms and Woodbine Race Track. Devoted to his work “when you do a job….if it was not good enough for you, it will never good enough for somebody else.” Everything he did he did well, his tomatoes were second to none, his lawn was impeccable. Family was always first but only a close second to his close friends, he was always there for the ones he cared for most.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge 905 851-9100 on Monday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 9:30 am at St. Peter's Church 100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge. A private family entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to The Shining Thru Centre would be appreciated.

In accordance with directives from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, Services can be held within the funeral home, accommodating 20% occupancy of our visitation rooms and/or Chapel.

Funeral services being held in a church or place of worship allow for a maximum of 20% building occupancy.

Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the entombment will be private.
