Benjamin Franklin Groat

It is with great sadness that the family of Benjamin Franklin Groat announces his passing after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the age of 85 years. Born March 2 1931, on concession one lot 20 township of Chinguacousy (Caledon). Ben was a prominent dairy farmer, loving husband, and caring father, and grandfather. Ben will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years,
Susan (nee Alexander), his children, John, James (Jenna), Victoria (Matthew), Audra, and Perry. His grandchildren Lily, Evelyn, Zachary and Alexis will also fondly remember him. Family and Friends
will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (52 Main St South, Brampton) on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A Memorial Service in memory of Ben will be held at 1p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
