Benedetto Bosco

Benedetto Bosco, born April 9, 1934 in San Fratello Messina Sicily and passed away November 7th, 2014 at the age of 80 in North York, Ontario Canada. Son of Filadelfio and Maria nee Scaglione . Loving husband to Rosina (nee Calcaterra) . Devoted and caring father to Maria, Rosie (Brando), Phil (Crysllyn) and Domenico. Adoring Nonno to Antonio and Rosetta. Loving brother to Maria and Salvatore in San Fratello, Messina, Italy. He will be greatly missed by all his relatives and friends. Benedetto was a strong member of his community and will also be sorely missed by all of his many neighbours and by his good friends at the local Italian North Islington Seniors Club.


He left his home in San Fratello at the age of 32 together with his wife Rosina and daughter Maria in search of a better future in Canada. A man of great strength, Benedetto initiated a successful career as a landscaper in Toronto. Working in iconic places like High Park, the CN Tower and many grand homes in the Post Rd. area.

As the days past he enjoyed his many Scopa card games with his friends, and making countless barrels of wine for all to enjoy. In addition, his love for gardening produced countless baskets of fruits and vegetables and he shared with all those around him.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father and grandfather, and a kind and generous friend to all. Not to mention his sence of humor, always laughing before the punch line to his many jokes.

Your loving family will miss you terribly and will meet up with you again...
