Benedetta (Tina) Mele

God called Benedetta peacefully on Sunday March 3^rd, 2024, at the age of 84 

Tina is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Vito (2003), parents Michele and Caterina Di Modugno and many family members that have embraced her.

Cherished and loving Mother to Joe (Rosa), Domenica and Michael and grandmother to Annemarie (Alberto Barone).

Sadly missed by her siblings Franco (Adriana) and Carmela (Luigi Paglia) and families, Mele, DeCristoforo and Pasquale families, friends and extended relatives.

Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of Tina’s caregivers, day programs, medical teams, friends and family for their caring, compassion and support in helping and guiding us over her ten year journey with Alzheimer’s, most recently Humber Meadows LTC and Humber River Hospital 8E.

Mom will be fondly remembered for her strength, courage, unconditional love and kindness, her joy of cooking and baking, but most of all her love for music and dancing.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Judes Church (3265 Weston Road, North York) on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. 

If desired donations may be made in memory  of Benedetta to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
