It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barney Bonekamp on November 21, 2013. Barney is survived by his wife Alison and daughter Caitlyn. He is also survived by his parents Janet and Gerald, his sister Sacha (Graham) and his brothers Gordon and Miles. He was born June 23, 1959 in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Strathroy, Ontario and Langley, B. C. He attended Simon Fraser University graduating with a B.A., honours, first class in Economics. He received an M.A. from the University of Western Ontario , where he also did doctoral studies. Barney was a Vice President and Senior Economist with the Bank of Montreal . He analysed global economies and assessed country risk for more than 25 years with the Bank.

Family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday December 15, 2013 from 2-4p.m. at Ward Funeral Home “Oakville Chapel” 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville.
