Barbara Thususka

Suddenly on February 14, 2011 at Credit Valley Hospital. Recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary on February 11, 2011. Beloved wife of Thomas; Mother of Joanne, Jacqueline (Dean) and Michael (Cathy); Daughter of Esther and Bernard Wohler (Deceased). Dear sister of Lillian (Deceased), Bernice and Doreen. Grandmother of Scott and Jennifer in Burlington, Sarah and Zachary in PEI.

Born in St. Catharines, Ontario on November 28, 1936. Graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton in 1957 as an operating room nurse and served at St. Joe's. Also worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, South Peel Hospital (Now Trillium) in Cooksville, Peel Memorial in Brampton and the new Brampton Civic Hospital. A most qualified and respected operating room nurse who continued to work until age 74 in Cystoscopy.

Kind and caring to all she met, her pleasant demeanor and cheerfulness will be remembered by all.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South (Hwy. 10), Brampton on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
