Austin Joseph Gibbons

GIBBONS, Austin Joseph After a long and fulfilling life, Austin passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Grace Manor in Brampton in his 95th year.He was surrounded by his adoring wife Joan, loving family and friends. Austin and Joan were blessed with 70 wonderful years together. Predeceased by his sister Anne and brothers Bert, John and Ed. He will be sadly missed and remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their extended families. Austin was a member of Saint Jerome‘s Catholic Church where he enjoyed many lifelong relationships (JAMS). He was a long time employee of CN telecommunications and had a passion for history and reading. Austin had a loving, caring, generous spirit and was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, definitely a charmer and never without his unstoppable smile! Friends are invited to join the family at Ward funeral home, 52 Main St. S., Brampton, Ontario on Monday, November 25 for a time of visitation from 9 AM to 11 AM. Service will be held at Saint Jerome‘s Catholic Church 8530 Chinguacousy Rd., Brampton, Ontario at 11:30 AM. Interment at Meadowvale Cemetery to follow.
